My New Old House

I started this video/slide show last October but holiday decorating delayed my working on it. Then sister Dot shared her new editing program with me so I decided to use the new software. After a steep learning curve and difficulties getting a version that would upload to YouTube, I finally completed the video tour.

Black Friday Tradition

Dot drove us to Kansas City for our annual, traditional, Black Friday shopping trip. We started from my house at 10 am, made a quick stop at the St. Joseph Penney's store so I could get a coat on sale and arrived at the Independence Mall just in time to get caught up in shopping traffic.

After fortifying ourselves with Margaritas, sliders and quesadeas at 54th Street, we went to Macy's where we shopped 'til we ran out of things to buy for ourselves. (shoes, clothes, scarves,fragrances, pop corn poppers)

Barney had made reservations for us at the Hoof and Horn for dinner so we headed home just as dusk began coloring the horizon.

Kansas City Visit

Lee came back to Missouri to visit his grandchild so Larry invited Joyce and me to join him for dinner. Larry picked a new restaurant for us, The Cafe at Briarcliff Village. Although David stayed in California, he was channeling dessert via IPhone.

Fall Art

Dot, Gina and I entered art work in the Fall Art for the Health of It contest. Dot took third place in watercolor, adding another ribbon to her awards collection. The winner buys drinks, so we celebrated at Ground Round after the awards ceremony...thanks to Dot.
